The
Coalition's Training Program
|

|
For
professionals who have MFT Intern status, The Coalition
offers an internship program to assist their completion
of the 3,000 hours of required supervised work.
The
agency retains licenses supervisors on staff who offer
weekly individual and group supervision.
Our
training program is primarily influenced by the family
system, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic theories
of human development and change. Interns have the opportunity
to work directly with a wide variety of psychological
conditions within the following populations:

perpetrators of domestic violence and/or sexual assault |

Adolescents
on probation for various offenses |

Stress
management |

Communication |
Our
Program Provides the Following for Accepted Interns
|

Individual
and group psychotherapy supervision weekly |
|
|
|
Opportunities
to facilitate psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational
groups |

|
|
Counseling
experience in individual, couple, family, and play therapy |
|
|
|
School-based
therapy |
|
|
|
Case
consultation with peers and supervision staff |
Requirements
for Acceptance into the Program
|
|
|
Prior
traineeship/practicum placement or equivalent work experience |
|
|
|
Prior
experience with victims and/or pertetrators of violent
crimes |
|
|
|
Coursework
in family systems, psychotherapeutic theories, and child
and adult development |
|
|
|
Minimum
20-hour weekly commitment for a minimum of one year |
