HOW
CAN I HELP THE COALITION?
HOW CAN I BE A VOLUNTEER?

|
| |
There
are many needs for helping families in the Ventura County,
and you may be asking yourself how you can be of service
to others in our communities.
Look
over The Coalition's WISH
LIST to
see if there are any items that you can make available
to help these families in need.
One
of the greatest needs we have is the ability to
provide shelter to additional women and children
fleeing an abusive environment.
We need a "mortgage free" 4 bedroom house
with a yard located in the city of Oxnard or Port
Hueneme. A second shelter would enable us to assist
a greater number of victims desperately trying to
break the cycle of violence in their lives.

HOW
CAN I BE A VOLUNTEER?
Volunteer
Program
It is
the goal of The Coalition to End Family Violence to provide
a comprehensive Volunteer program by recruiting persons from
the community who would appreciate an opportunity to contribute
their time and energy in making a difference in the lives
of victim's of domestic violence and sexual assault.
|
1. |
It is the goal of The Coalition to End Family Violence
to provide the highest level of service to victims of
domestic violence and sexual assault. It is also our goal
to do the same for the perpetrators that seek help at
The Coalition. |
|
2. |
Each
Volunteer, no matter what his/her assignment or duties,
plays a part in fulfilling this goal. |
|
3. |
Providing
excellent service calls for a polite and considerate reply
to each inquiry. It is important that each response to
a client conveys a sense of respect and consideration
for the client's feelings and needs. |
|
4. |
Volunteers
are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a professional
, courteous, and business like manner, so as to encourage
the individuals they help to feel secure, informed, and
respected. |
