VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Our supporters stand at the center of every level of our prevention work. We would not be able to continue in this crucial work if it were not for all of your support. Thank you!

EVENTS VOLUNTEER

The Coalition attends many community events every year. We are invited to have resource tables or informational sessions at various events and venues. This volunteer post would involve having a group of standby volunteers trained and ready to represent the Coalition at these events, interfacing with the community and spreading word of our essential services. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Attending training sessions at the Coalition to become familiarized with our services
  • Tabling for a minimum of two hour shifts at community events
  • Assisting with setup and take down of resource tables at events

FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEER

The Coalition thrives on the kindness and generosity of our community members. Fundraising and donations are a key part of keeping the Coalition functioning and able to provide exceptional services to our clients. The Coalition is looking for driven, passionate, and organized volunteers to spearhead fundraising campaigns and events to keep our programs thriving. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Work with staff and volunteers to brainstorm fundraising opportunities in the community
  • Stage a silent auction or fundraising event in your home
  • Contact local businesses/retailers to collaborate on fundraising opportunities
  • Organize donation drives for items and food for the shelter

ADMINISTRATIVE VOLUNTEER

Every organization requires behind the scenes preparation. If you enjoy working closely with staff to prepare and execute various administrative tasks, this is the post for you. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and send literature packets to potential donors and clients
  • Assist staff with sending mid and year end appeals, newsletters, and Christmas cards to donors
  • Work with events and fundraising volunteers to prepare their materials, etc.
  • Help put together care assistance packages for clients
