Cost should never stand between you and safety. Here is exactly how it works, in plain language.
Survivors
Survivors always receive free services
Every service below is provided to survivors at no cost, and everyone is welcome regardless of documentation or insurance status.
- 24/7 crisis hotline and safety planning
- Emergency Safe House shelter and basic needs
- Rape crisis response, accompaniment, and advocacy
- Legal, medical, and law enforcement advocacy
- Counseling and support groups for survivors
- Transitional housing case management
Community counseling
A sliding scale, based on income
Our licensed therapists also serve community members who are not survivors of violence. Those counseling sessions carry a fee set on a sliding scale, determined by household income and family size during a short intake conversation.
Nobody is turned away for inability to pay. If the fee is a hardship, say so and we will adjust it with you.

What is the sliding scale for?
Community members who are not survivors of violence can also access our licensed counseling. Those sessions are offered on a sliding scale based on household income and size, so the fee fits what you can afford.
What if I can't afford the sliding-scale fee?
Tell us. Ability to pay never determines whether you receive care. Talk with our office and we will work it out with you.
Do I need insurance to get help?
Survivors are welcome regardless of documentation or insurance status. Call our office and we will walk you through what, if anything, a specific program needs.
Is there any cost to call the hotline?
No. The hotline is free, confidential, bilingual, and available 24 hours a day.
