Legal Consultation
(1 hour)
$150

Do you have specific legal questions about your family law matter and need attorney guidance? We can help answer your questions about divorce, paternity, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, financial disclosures, and more. The Legal Consultation will give you an opportunity to receive legal advice specific to your situation.

Services include:

  • Up to 1-hour telephone consultation with a licensed California Family Law Attorney regarding your family law matter
  • You may provide any document for Attorney review
  • Attorney will provide both legal education and legal advice

Please note:

  • Legal Consultation is intended as a stand-alone, one-time consultation when you do not need document preparation but instead only have legal questions and need legal advice.
  • Legal Consultation is not intended as document drafting. For document drafting, we offer a range of document preparation services. Please see our Legal Services Menu for more information.
  • You remain self-represented (In Pro Per) and attend all court hearings yourself.

Requirements:

  • A conflict check and Legal Intake are required for this service.
  • A 30-minute Initial Consultation must be completed prior to this service.
  • A Limited Scope Legal Services Agreement is required for this service.

Please note:

  • You remain self-represented (In Pro Per) and attend all court hearings yourself.
  • Court filing fees, if applicable, are separate from Coalition’s flat fee charge for legal services. You must pay the court filing fees directly to the court unless you receive an order for waiver of court fees.
  • Where permitted and if possible, Coalition will serve the documents for you by mail. Some documents require personal service. Coalition does not handle personal service of documents. You must arrange for and pay the cost of personal service. If you receive an order for waiver of court fees, the Sheriff’s Office will personally serve your documents on the other party at no charge.
  • Where permitted and if possible, Coalition will assist you with filing your court documents electronically by e-Delivery. If e-Delivery is not permitted or possible, then we will assist you with making an appointment with the Clerk’s Office to file your documents in person. You may also drop off your documents in the court’s dropbox located at the courthouse.
