Are you experiencing domestic violence or intimate partner violence and need a protection order? We can help you prepare the application for a Domestic Violence Temporary Restraining Order (“TRO”).

 

 

Services include:

  • Form: Request for Domestic Violence Restraining Order
  • Form: Attachment for child custody orders (if applicable)
  • Form: All related DV forms
  • Ex parte notice to the other party (if applicable)
  • Legal Consultation with a licensed California Family Law Attorney regarding the legal issues relevant to your court forms
  • Document preparation and drafting by a licensed California Family Law Attorney and legal support staff with attorney supervision

 

 

Please note:

  • You remain self-represented (In Pro Per) and attend all court hearings yourself.
  • There is no court filing fee to file a request for a Domestic Violence Restraining Order.
  • Domestic Violence Restraining Orders must be personally served on the restrained party. The Sheriff’s Office will do this for you once you obtain the TRO.
  • Documents pertaining to Domestic Violence Restraining Orders may not be submitted for filing by e-Delivery. They need to be filed in person at the family law filing window at the courthouse. No appointment is required to file a request for a Domestic Violence Restraining Order at the family law filing window. We will provide you with instructions on how to file your paperwork.

  • A Limited Scope Legal Services Agreement is required for this service.
