Initial Consultation
(30 minutes)
$0

Are you considering filing for divorce, need custody or support orders, or would like to know how assets and debts are divided under California community property law? Do you have general questions about your rights? We can provide you with legal education and explain the legal process in a family law case. While no legal advice is offered during the Initial Consultation, you will gain information and a better understanding of the law, as well as receive referrals to community resources as appropriate. A 30-minute Initial Consultation is offered at no charge.

Services include:

  • Up to 30-minutes telephone consultation with a licensed California Family Law Attorney regarding your family law matter
  • You may provide court orders and filed documents for Attorney review
  • Attorney will provide legal education only (no legal advice)

Please note:

  • The Initial Consultation is a one-time consultation that is intended to provide you with legal education and a general preliminary evaluation of your family law matter based on the limited information provided during the consultation. At the end of the Initial Consultation, you will be informed of whether we can assist you with your legal matter.
  • The Initial Consultation is not intended to provide legal advice. For legal advice, we offer Legal Consultation. Please see our Legal Services Menu for more information.
  • You remain self-represented (In Pro Per) and attend all court hearings yourself.

Requirements:

  • A conflict check and Legal Intake are required for this service.
  • An Initial Consultation Agreement is required for this service.
